1. This webquest is intended for a 3rd grade audience.
2. Goal #1: To learn about some of the different species of penguins.
Goal #2: To learn facts about where the different penguins live.
Goal #3: To learn facts about how the penguins survive, and what each day brings.
3. Students will need to understand how to navigate fairly simple educational websites.
Students will need to be able to read some light literature.
4. Students will need approximately 5-10 hours of computer time broken up over many days.
5. When grading the students work, evaluate whether or not the student can distinguish between the different species of penguins. Does he/she express a solid understanding of key facts surrounding penguins and their lifestyle? Are there at least 6 species of penguins accurately represented?
